It is a good idea to consider how much money you have on hand before entering into a fight. It is very important to make sure you deposit all on your money into the bank before a Mafia Wars fight. You can be attacked by others player at anytime so it is an excellent idea to keep a zero cash balance the majority of the time. This is especially crucial if you are going offline because if you have a cash balance other players can attack and rob you. The one downside to this is that there is a penalty of 10% for laundering but this is much better than losing it all to another member.

Before you enter a Mafia Wars fight it is essential to get some background information on your enemy. This is easily done by clicking the attach button, take a quick look to see how powerful the other member is.

Some things to consider:

1) Check out the size of the player’s mafia. It is a good idea to attack players with about the same size mafia or smaller. Remember more members mean they have more weapons they can use against you.

2) Check out the number of jobs, you can gauge how much experienced your opponent is and how his profile points are distributed. Remember the higher the number, the stronger their defiance and attack will be. Again try to attack players with approximately the same amount of jobs complete or less.

3) Check out the numbers of wins and losses of your potential opponent. You have a better chance of winning if they have a greater loss to win ratio.

4) Check out your potential opponent’s weapons arsenal before engaging in a Mafia Wars fight. Do not attack them if they have weapons that are more powerful than yours, or if they have a large number of strong weapons.

5) Check out the other member’s properties, this will give you a good picture of the amount of money they have and what they can be robbed of. Although gaining money from attacks is good it is not always essential. You can earn experience points at a good rate without wasting energy. After you attack another member and you lose the fight, don’t fight them again, go try and fight someone else. When you win a Mafia Wars fight against another member take advantage and fight them again and again until you lose the fight or no longer have the stamina to fight.

6) It is a good idea to make an attack list of players that you have won fights against. Then you can go back and fight them later and probably win again. Copy link location of the player by right clicking on their name. Be careful though because any player at anytime can seek revenge if they desire.

 Using your profile point can increase your strength of attack and defense thus helping you with fights.

Some quick things to remember before entering into a Mafia Wars fight.  You can increase your odds of winning a fight by increasing your Mafia size, ensuring your mafia is stocked up on the best equipment and put some stat points in ‘Attack”.  You could also spend Godfather points on stats to add to attack if you wanted.  Remember though that you will never win 100 percent of fights, opponents who are Top Mafia bodyguards will always have a chance to win on defense and it is also possible that a critical hit could make you lose a fight, although critical hits do you happen frequently.
