Finding a Mafia Wars Job

To begin searching for jobs, click the Jobs tab.  This will show you a number of jobs you can access based on your level or rank.  It is a good idea to complete several of the first jobs because this will allow you to acquire enough money to purchase new items that you will need to successfully complete a higher paying Mafia Wars job.  You are limited to the number of jobs you can do early in the game because completing jobs requires energy, as you work on completing jobs your energy level goes down.  Once you level up your energy is completely replenished to full again.  If you need to add to your energy before a level up is possible you can do so by clicking the Home tab, you will then see the stat of your character and the option to improve them.

Now since you want to build a solid foundation for your Mafia you are going to need a lot more money and in order to get money you are going to need a lot of energy so you can complete jobs successfully.  Your energy does replenish naturally every couple of minutes and you will notice that the more energy you have the faster it will refill.  In order to be successful in Mafia Wars it is a good idea to provide a faster boost to your energy then simply waiting for it to do so itself.  You can do this buy adding stats into your energy; this is a good idea because again it will allow you to complete more Mafia Wars jobs.  You will make more money and gain more experience. 

Jobs also help you level up, find special loot and find the seven special items required to complete a collection.  As you advance through the levels you will unlock new and more challenging jobs which might require special items and a specific mafia size. Once you complete a Mafia Wars job you notice a Job Mastery area that displays how close (in percentage) you are to mastering a certain job.  After you complete 100% in a job tier 1 you will be moved up to job tier 2.  Then once you complete 100% of level 2 you will move up to level 3 job tier.  Here are the following rewards for each master level:
Level 1 Mastery: Tier Title
Level 2 Mastery: “Skilled” Tier Title; +5% to loot drops in that tier
Level 3 Mastery: “Master” Tier Title: +10% to loot drops in that tier; bonus item.

Mastering job tiers will take you a lot of time and energy, but it will all be worth it in the end as you will be paid off with bonuses are very beneficial that will offer you permanent boosts to your mafia. 

Do not skip a Mafia Wars job tier because there is not much of a point in being a hit man when you haven’t mastered being a street thug yet.  Also try not to jump between different jobs in a specific tier.
